Last week of term 1

Our last week of term 1 was filled with fun and challenging activities and a very inspirational Duffy book presenter, Nathan Gray, from Wellington who shared with us his 4000k Trek along the Great Wall of China.  We finished the term with the whole school presenting the Easter story.  Our newly formed 'learning hub' (Rooms 3 & 4) beautifully role-played Holy Thursday and Good Friday.

Thank you for a great term of collaborative learning in the 'hub'.   Mrs Currie and I have already prepared an exciting programme of learning for you all in term 2.

Happy Easter and relaxing holidays to you all and to your families.

Health Expo

Today, after much preparation during the term, the middle/senior syndicate introduced the school to five areas of concern in our community - obesity, not getting enough sleep, unhealthy teeth, the need for healthy food and the need to exercise.  Different groups researched one area and presented a solution for each problem.

More pictures of today's expo to come.  Here are some pictures of our preparation day yesterday.
